SANDBP-MS AUDITOR SELECTION PROGRAM

The SANDBP-MS Auditor Program is designed to qualify individuals to perform audits on behalf of SANDBP-MS, ensuring the competence and professionalism of our auditors.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Hold at least a tertiary level education degree.
  • Possess a valid Lead Auditor Certificate obtained from an internationally recognized certification body.
  • Have a minimum of five years of professional work experience, with two years of experience relevant to the implementation, operation, and/or auditing of management systems
  • Demonstrate experience-performing audits by having completed at least four complete audits, totaling at least 20 days in duration.

Application Process

  1. Submit the following documents
    • Auditor Application Form
    • Auditor Qualification form
    • Auditor Competence Form
    • Audit Log Form
    • Auditor Agreement Form
    • Conflict of Interest & NDA Form
  2. SANDBP-MS will review your application and background.
  3. If qualified, you will be invited to interview with the SANDBP-MS Auditor Program Coordinator.
  4. Upon successful completion of the interview, you will be granted "Interim SANDBP-MS Auditor" status.
Qualifying as a Fully Approved SANDBP-MS Auditor

To become a "Fully Approved SANDBP-MS Auditor" and conduct audits independently, you must complete the following requirements within one year of receiving "Interim SANDBP-MS Auditor" status:

  1. Complete the SandBP-MS Certified Management Systems Auditor (SCMSA) Training Course: This program equips auditors with the knowledge and skills specific to SANDBP-MS audit processes and procedures. The course is delivered by experienced SANDBP-MS auditors and offered multiple times a year at various locations globally.
  2. Pass the SCMSA Training Course Exam: You will be informed of the exam schedule upon enrolling in the SCMSA Training Course.
  3. Complete a Witness Audit: A SANDBP-MS designated representative will observe you conducting an audit to assess your practical application of knowledge and skills.
Auditor Credentials and Recertification

Upon successful completion of all program requirements, you will become a "Fully Approved SANDBP-MS Auditor" and be issued a credential based on your experience:

  • Certified SANDBP-MS Auditor: Conducts audits as a team member or sole auditor.
  • Certified Lead SANDBP-MS Auditor: Leads and manages a team of auditors while conducting audits.

SANDBP-MS Auditor Certificates are valid for three years. To maintain your certification, you must fulfill the following Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements during the three-year certification cycle:

  • Perform a minimum of three complete audits totaling at least ten audit days.
  • For Certified Lead Auditors, one of the audits must be conducted as a Lead Auditor managing a team of at least one other auditor.

SANDBP-MS will continuously evaluate your performance throughout the certification period.
