Certification Use Policy

1. Purpose

   The purpose of this policy is to ensure that certifications issued by SandBP-MS are used accurately, ethically, and in compliance with relevant standards and regulations. By adhering to this policy, certificate holders, organizations, and other stakeholders can maintain the value and credibility of their certifications.

2. SandBP-MS Certification Mark Ownership

   The following organizational trademark is owned and controlled by SandBP-MS

3. Authorized Use of SandBP-MS Certification Mark

   Certified organizations are authorized to use the certification mark or logo only for the scope of certification specified by SandBP-MS. Unauthorized use of certifications is strictly prohibited.
   Certified organizations must use the certification mark or logo accurately and consistently in all communications, and product packaging. They should not make any false or misleading claims regarding the certification. This includes clearly specifying the certification standard, scope of certification, and certification status (e.g., initial certification, recertification, suspension).

4. Non-Assignability and Non-Transferability

   Permission to use the Certification Mark is limited to the certified organization, and shall not be transferred to, assigned to, or otherwise used by any other individual, organization, or entity.

   Upon receiving information indicating a potential inappropriate or unauthorized use of the SandBP-MS certification mark, the following steps will be taken to address the situation:

   • Review of Alleged Violation: SandBP-MS will conduct a thorough review of the alleged inappropriate or unauthorized use of the certification mark.

   • Communication with Involved Parties: If it is determined that a policy violation may have occurred, SandBP-MS will promptly communicate with the organization(s) involved. The organization(s) will be requested to cease the unauthorized use of the certification mark.

   • Corrective Action Request: SandBP-MS will request corrective action from the organization(s) involved to rectify the policy violation.

   • Legal Actions or Sanctions: In the event that the policy violation is not corrected within a reasonable timeframe, SandBP-MS reserves the right to take appropriate legal actions or sanctions. These may include certification suspension or revocation, as deemed necessary to uphold the integrity of the certification process and protect the credibility of the SandBP-MS certification mark.
